From Pier to Plate

We are truly spoilt by our harbourside location which allows us to take advantage of the vast amount of quality seafood that is landed just yards from the kitchen door including the scallops, Lobster and crab. We also pride ourselves in using as much local produce as possible. Furthermore, we try to source everything within a twenty-mile radius. Venison from both wild red deer and roe deer are supplied by local game dealers and the Galloway Smoke house also supply the very finest smoked salmon to us. Our Galloway beef and lamb is provided from Ballards in Castle Douglas, our organic slow reared pork and boar from Grobdale of Girthon and our Cream of Galloway ice cream and farmhouse cheeses both from Rainton farm. We also acquire as much of our vegetables and herbs as possible grown up the road at Tonderghie. Our aim is to offer quality contemporary food that is good value and appeals to all our customers, young and old, local and visitor alike in a relaxed friendly environment.

We are open everyday serving our hearty breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. We are passionate about quality with everything made in house. Meals are served in both bar areas and our harbourside dining room and conservatory restaurants. If the weather allows, we also serve outside at the tables on the harbourside itself.

Our current menus are listed below, but we also have a specials menu that change daily depending on what comes in from the boats or becomes available seasonally. 

With everything being made to order dietary requirements are never a problem. 

Winter Hours

Breakfast served 8am – 9am. Booking advisable.

Lunch 12am – 1:45pm

Afternoon Teas Saturdays only: 2pm – 4pm

Dinner 5:30pm – 8pm
